Girls Win XC Invite, Boys Place Sixth

The Cadillac varsity girls’ cross country team had a strong performance on Wednesday, winning the John Bruder Classic in Shepherd. Girls Cross Country Competes at States, Schopieray Takes 4th

Fourth place out of 238 runners. That’s an impressive finish for anyone — let alone a freshman but that’s exactly what Cadillac’s Kendall Schopieray did on Saturday. She went into the state finals ranked 10th but her time of 18:36 was good enough to move her up six spots. Schopieray earned all-state honors with the 4th place finish.
