Both the 7th and 8th grade football teams finished out their seasons on a positive note. The 7th grade team beat Kingsley 14-6 to finish the season 4-2 while the 8th grade team scored a 40-0 shutout win to remain undefeated at 6-0 this year. By the end of the night, the players were soaked and covered in mud, but that didn’t stop the Cadillac 8th grade football from beating Traverse City West 26-0 Wednesday night. Offensively, the Vikings were led by Kaleb McKinley with 68 yards and a touchdown.  McKinley also threw a 53 yard touchdown pass to Chris Reinhold. 

Jr. High Football Scores Win Over Petoskey

Both the 7th and 8th grade football teams beat Petoskey on the road Wednesday. Cadillac’s 8th grade team won 36-6. It was scoreless going into halftime before the Vikings exploded in the second half. It was a defensive battle all game long for the Cadillac 7th grade football team. The Vikings fell short to Clare on Saturday, losing 6-8.  The first touchdown of the game didn’t come until the fourth quarter when Cadillac’s Connor Vermeulen caught a pass from Charlie Howell. Both the 7th and 8th grade football teams opened their season with shutout wins over Gaylord. The 7th grade team beat the Blue Devils 27-0 Wednesday evening. Leading the offensive attack was Mitchell House with 74 yards rushing.
