EAST LANSING, Mich. – The addition of seeding at the District level in basketball and soccer and multiple adjustments to the process used to select the playoff field for 11-player football were among the most notable actions taken by the Representative Council of the Michigan High School Athletic Association during its annual Spring Meeting in Gaylord.

It’s not the outcome they wanted, but looking back, it was an impressive season considering their youth. The varsity girls basketball team had their season come to an end on Tuesday in the State Quarterfinals. The Vikings fell to Freeland, 38-48.
