Multiple Teams · Volleyball Beats TC West to Tie Titans in BNC Race

A month ago, the Traverse City Titans came to Cadillac and stole a game from the Vikings on their home court. That win gave TC West a one point lead in the Big North Conference race. Cadillac was looking for revenge as they traveled to Traverse City Wednesday night… and they got it. The Vikings topped the Titans in another close five set match 16-25, 25-20, 25-19, 16-25, 15-10. The two teams now share first place with one week remaining of conference play.

Renee Brines led Cadillac with 34 assists, 15 digs, eight kills, two aces, and a block while Macy Brown recorded 31 kills, 37 digs, and three blocks. Freshman Carissa Musta had a big game for the Vikings with seven blocks and five kills. Angela Mo added 13 digs and three aces while Julia Jezak had 15 digs and two aces. Joslyn Seeley had five digs, three blocks, and a kill. Caliey Masserang added five kills and six digs, Brooke Ellens had 10 digs, and Layke Sims three digs and a kill.

Cadillac won the JV match 25-20, 25-18, 23-25. Jaylyn Hamilton led Cadillac in serving while Megan Kendall led defensively.

Cadillac’s freshman team completed the sweep by winning 25-19, 23-25, 15-11. Adaline Smith led the way defensively and Reina McMahon was the top server.

The Varsity team (8-1 BNC) travels to North Branch on Saturday for a quad while the JV team plays at Midland and the Freshman team plays in a quad at TC West. The final regular season home game will be next Wednesday against Gaylord.
