The Cadillac girls cross country team took advantage of the beautiful Fall weather over the weekend, running to a first place finish in their division at the Bengals Fall Invitational. The Vikings scored 49 points to win their division while Forest Hills Central placed second with 56 points and Forest Hills Northern third at 75.
Chloie Musta led Cadillac with a fifth-place finish in 19:37 while Kendall Schopieray took 11th in 20:16. Gwen Phillips was 12th in 20:29, Heather Eller 14th in 20:34 and Ellie Cool placed 16th in 20:48.
The boys cross country team finished in tenth place in their division at the invite – scoring 268 points. Fremont won the title with 33 points while Caledonia was second with 60 points and Forest Hills Central third at 99.
Nolan Nixon placed 42nd for Cadillac in 18:17, Carson Carlington was 52nd in 18:59 while Logan Boolman placed 57th in 19:23. Brayden Oberhaus finished the race in 59th place in 19:40 and Gavin Phillips was 63rd in 20:13.
Cadillac competes on Tuesday at the Big North Conference Championship in Petoskey.
