Girls High School Golf · Girls Golf Falls Short at Regionals, Places 7th Overall

Cold temperatures and high winds threw the varsity girls’ golf team off their game Monday at the Division 3 Regional. The Vikings placed 7th overall — falling short of advancing to the State Finals.

The top three teams advance — that included Whitehall who won the event with a team score of 379, while Big Rapids and Forest Hills Eastern both shot 385. Cadillac shot a 429.

Madi Drabik led the way for the Vikings with a 15th-place finish, scoring 102. Chesni Birgy shot a 106, Emma McTaggart 110, Livi Meyer 111 and Molly Anderson 112.

Cadillac finishes its season next Monday at the Traverse City Country Club for the Big North Conference finals.
