The last time Cadillac volleyball lost a district game – the girls on this year’s team were still in diapers. That’s a streak nobody wants to break and the varsity volleyball team showed their determination to keep that streak alive, beating Reed City in three games on Thursday. That marks the 14th straight district title for the volleyball program!

Cadillac jumped out to a quick start in the first game scoring 19 points before letting Reed City have a point. Chloe Comstock served those 19 points, putting her atop the CHS record books for “aces in a single season.” The Vikings went on to beat Reed City 25-7, 25-7, 25-10.

Macy Brown led Cadillac with 17 kills, 11 digs, two blocks and an ace while Renee Brines dished out 33 assists, 11 digs, four kills and two aces. Comstock had six aces, six digs and five kills while Neiss added 11 kills. Makenna Bryant recorded 14 digs and two assists while Marne Fox added four digs and two assists. Angela Mo had three digs and two kills and Lorenz added two digs and an ace.

Cadillac plays at HOME on Tuesday against Clare. The match will start at 6:00, the cost for admission into MHSAA Regional games is $6.00 per person.
