Girls Varsity Volleyball · Volleyball Advances to District Finals

The Cadillac varsity volleyball team is no stranger to success in the post-season. They’re going for their 14th straight District title tonight. The Vikings faced off with Ludington on Wednesday in the district semi-final after getting a bye in the first round. Ludington stayed close in two of the games but Cadillac managed to hold them off, winning in three sets 25-20, 25-11, 29-27.

Renee Brines recorded 36 assists, 21 digs, two kills and two blocks for Cadillac while Macy Brown had 15 kills, 16 digs and a block. Chloe Comstock had 13 kills, five digs and three aces while Maggie Neiss added nine kills, three digs, two aces and two blocks. Makenna Bryant had 15 digs, Brooke Lorenz had nine digs and an ace while Joslyn Seeley had a kill and block and Staci Beydoun added a block.

Cadillac will play Reed City tonight at Big Rapids High School. The match starts at 6:00 pm. Admission is $6.00 for all District games.
