The varsity football team lost a heart-breaker to Bay City John Glenn on Friday, 20-19. Cadillac got on the board first with a TD run by quarterback Julian LaMonde and PAT by Libbey Lloyd to make it 7-0 in the first quarter. The Bobcats countered back in the second with a 99 yard touchdown, bringing them within one point, 7-6. With just 20 seconds left in the half, Cadillac’s Collin Johnston got his second defensive TD of the season when he recovered a fumble and ran it in for six points. The Vikings held a 13-6 lead at halftime.
John Glenn tied it back up at 13-all in the third quarter before Cadillac scored again on a run by Noah Cochrane in the fourth quarter. The Bobcats scored the final touchdown of the night and converted on the PAT to take the one point win.
Cochrane led Cadillac with 151 yards rushing while Johnston ran for 58 yards. Tipp Baker led defensively with 17 tackles, one forced fumble and recovery while Luke Enyeart had seven tackles.
The Vikings host Petoskey this Friday at 7:00. This will also be our annual Salute to Service game and Viking Booster’s Bash.
Cadillac freshman beat Bay City John Glenn 28-8 on Thursday. They will travel to Petoskey on Thursday for a 4:00 kickoff.
