While it’s not the ending they wanted, they have a lot to be proud of this season. The varsity baseball team came in as underdogs to not only win their first district in eight years but knock Petoskey out of the tournament to advance to regional finals. Unfortunately, their season ended there. Cadillac faced off with Muskegon Oakridge on Saturday at Saginaw Valley State University. The Eagles won 16-1.
Allan Scheurer was the starting pitcher for the Vikings. He allowed six hits and struck out two. Braedan Lundquist came in for relief. At the plate, Scheurer and Lundquist had the only hits of the game for Cadillac.
The Vikings graduate eight seniors – Alex Netzley, Braedan Lundquist, Matthew Green, Ryan Cox, Jaykob Smith, Cale Mickelson, Allan Scheurer, and Jacob Roberts. Congratulations on a great season, Vikings!
