Girls Junior High Track, Junior High Track · Boys Win Jr High Track, Girls Finish Third


The Cadillac Jr High track teams hosted Petoskey and TC East on Wednesday. The boys team finished first with 78 points while the girls’ team came in third with 53 points.

For the boys, Nick Fuller took first in the 400m run while Paitin Meinhardt won the 1600m run. Derek Rood took first in both the 55m hurdles and 200m hurdles. The 4×400 relay team (Kaleb McKinley, Teegan Baker, Keenan Suminski, Fuller) also won. In field events, Cadillac swept shot put with Ryan Sanders in first, Rood second, and Koby Denny third. Charlie Howell won high jump and Mark Simons won pole vault. Cadillac also swept the long jump with Mckinley in first, Chris Reinhold second, and Jackson Hilt third.

On the girls’ side, Jazmin Angell won the 400 while the 4×200 relay team (Averee Mickelson, Ellie Cool, Angell, Mairyn Kinnie) also took first. Cadillac won the 4×400 relay (Angell, Mickelson, Cool, Brooke Ellens) and the 4×800 relay (Macey McKeever, Madalie Dickerson, Marisa Mazza, Hanah Johnson). For field events, Madisyn Lundquist won pole vault for Cadillac.

The Jr High team has their final meet of the year at Petoskey on Tuesday, May 21st.
