The two teams faced off over the weekend with Kingsley coming out victorious but the Cadillac varsity baseball team redeemed themselves on Monday. The Vikings swept the Stags 8-3 and 12-5.
Braedan Lundquist got the win on the mound in the first game, allowing one earned run on seven hits while striking out five. Offensively, Lundquist had two hits while Cale Mickelson had two hits and two RBI’s. Alex Netzley had a hit and RBI and Jon LaMonde two hits and an RBI. Isaac Heyd, David Johns, and Hunter Burton each added one hit apiece.
In game two, Ryan Cox got the win, allowing one earned run while striking out one. Lundquist recorded four hits and two RBI’s, Netzley had a hit and three RBI’s, while Cox had a hit and RBI. Troy Miller added a hit and Jaykob Smith had a hit and RBI.
The Vikings travel to Petoskey today while the JV team hosts Petoskey at Mills Field.
