The Cadillac girls track team continues to impress with another BNC win. The Vikings beat Alpena 105-56 in the home dual on Tuesday.
In field events, Cassidy Baker won the high jump, Karly Maier the pole vault, Brooke Kochanny in discus, and Lindsey Tonello in the long jump.
Makenna Bryant won her two individual events – the 100-meter hurdles and 300 hurdles. Kendall Schopieray won the 800m run while Lina Schwerdt won the 100 dash, and Julia Jezak the 200 dash. Chloie Musta took first in the 400m dash. The Vikings also won all of the relays, including the 400 relay (Peace Odiase, Schwerdt, Bryant, Tonello), the 800 relay (Odiase, Karly Castle, Madeleine Guernsey, Jezak), the 1600 relay (Schopieray, Tonello, Bryant, Musta), and the 3200 relay (Musta, Gabi Metzger, Heather Eller, Schopieray).
Cadillac boys fell short to Alpena, losing 131-32.
Cadillac had four athletes finish in second including Zach Elmore in pole vault and Tipp Baker in discus. Dakota Simerson was second in shot put and Logan Wilde took second in the 200 dash.
The Vikings are at the Hemlock Invite on Friday.
