The varsity girls tennis team got a glimpse of their regional competition over the weekend and the Vikings had a strong showing. Cadillac won the Whitehall Quad on Saturday with 18 points. Fruitport came in second with 15 points, Spring Lake third with nine, and Whitehall fourth with six points.

#1 Singles – Frida Dahlstrand was runner- up, beating Fruitport 2-6, 6-2, 10-5; beating Spring Lake 7-5, 6-7(4), 10-7; and losing to Whitehall 2-6, 6-4, 10-6.
#2 Singles – Alana Hill went 1-2 on the day. She beat Spring Lake 6-3, 6-2; lost to Whitehall 6-4, 6-1; and lost to Fruitport 6-4, 6-3.
#3 Singles – Oakley Mickelson was runner-up, beating Whitehall 6-2, 6-3; losing to Fruitport 6-3, 6-4; and beating Spring Lake 6-1, 6-3.
#4 Singles – Olivia Outman was also runner-up. She lost to Fruitport 6-3, 6-3; beat Spring Lake 6-1, 6-1; and beat Whitehall 6-1, 6-1.

#1 Doubles – Macy Brown/Sarah Brackenrich were flight champions. They beat Fruitport 6-2, 6-0; beat Spring Lake 6-2, 6-2; and beat Whitehall 7-5, 6-1.
#2 Doubles – Staci Beydoun/Lexi Johnson were also champions, beating Spring Lake 1-6, 6-4, 10-3; beating Whitehall 1-6; 7-6, 10-8; and beating Fruitport 0-6, 6-2, 10-8.
#3 Doubles – Zoey Feister/Chloe Comstock were runner-ups. They beat Whitehall 6-2, 6-1; beat Fruitport 6-7(9), 7-6(8), 11-9; and lost to Spring Lake 1-6, 7-5, 10-5.
#4 Doubles – Emily Sims/Ella Darrow were also flight champions. They beat Fruitport 6-1, 6-2; beat Spring Lake 6-0, 6-1; and beat Whitehall 6-2, 6-2.

Cadillac’s match with Ludington has been moved to Tuesday. Varsity will play at home starting at 2:00. JV will travel to Ludington for a 3:00 start.
