Boys Junior Varsity Track, Girls Junior Varsity Track · Girls Track Wins Invite, Boys Place 4th

The girls track team continues to have success early in the season. The freshman and sophomore athletes took first place in the Mt. Pleasant 9th and 10th grade Invite.

Kendall Schopieray won the 1600-meter run in 5:21.58 while Chloie Musta won the 800 in 2:27.89.

Lindsey Tonello won the 100m and 200m dashes while Peace Odiase won the 100 hurdles. The Vikings also won the 4×400 relay (Chloie Musta, Tonello, Heather Eller and Kendall Schopieray), as did the 4×800 relay (Musta, Eller, Renee Brines and Schopieray). Eller also won the long jump. Angela Mo won shot put and discus.

Brines finished second in the 3200m run while Karly Castle took second in shot put. Tonello also finished second in long jump. Castle took third in the 100m dash, Julia Jezak third in the 200m dash and 400m dash while Odiase was third in high jump.

On the boys’ side, Cadillac finished fourth. Nic Horstman took second in the long jump and Keegan Buckmaster was second in the 300m hurdles. Cadillac’s 4×100 relay team took second while Ben Kohler finished third in the 1600m run.

The Vikings compete at TC West on Wednesday.
