Their shots were falling and they looked like they were having fun in front of their home crowd. The varsity girls basketball team beat Standish-Sterling 61-39 in regional semi-finals on Monday. The win sends the Vikings to Gaylord on Wednesday to face Menominee in Regional finals.
Cadillac got out to a quick start, leading 10-0 just a few minutes into the game. They held an 18-5 lead after the first quarter. The Vikings led 42-15 at halftime and 50-23 going into the fourth quarter.
The Vikings hit ten 3-pointers on the night. Makenna Bryant hit half of them and led Cadillac with 21 points. Molly Anderson scored 14, Macy Brown 11, and Livi Meyer 8.
Cadillac plays Wednesday at Gaylord High School. Tip-off against Menominee is at 7:00. The winner advances to quarterfinals next Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant High School.
