When Cadillac and Ludington met up during the regular season, the Vikings won on a buzzer beater in overtime. The second time around the game meant a lot more: the winner advances to district finals, the loser goes home. The Vikings locked down on defense to help secure a 37-25 victory over the Orioles on Wednesday. The win sends Cadillac to the district finals on Friday against host Benzie Central.
Wednesday’s game started slow for both squads. Cadillac led 8-4 after the first quarter and 14-8 at halftime. The Vikings started to hit shots after that, extending the lead to 20 in the fourth quarter while holding the Orioles to just four points during that time.
Macy Brown led the Vikings with a double-double of ten points and ten rebounds. Makenna Bryant and Molly Anderson also scored ten points apiece for Cadillac.
The Vikings tip off with Benzie at 7:00 on Friday at Benzie Central. The winner advances to the regional semi-final next Monday here at Cadillac High School.
