This one hurts a bit. A week ago the boys basketball team was celebrating their victory over BNC-favorite TC Central. Today, they’re recovering from a tough loss to TC West. The Vikings fell 64-53 Thursday night – giving the Titans their first win of the season.
The game remained close for the first half with Cadillac leading 9-8 after the first quarter and TC West taking a 25-22 lead going into halftime. The Titans continued to hit shots while the Vikings continued to turn the ball over – committing 21 turnovers on the night. TC West held a 15 point lead going into the fourth quarter before securing the 64-53 victory.
Aidan Raffaele recorded a double-double for the Vikings with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Tipp Baker had 15 points and Evan Borr added eight points.
TC West completed the sweep – winning the freshman and JV games 56-39 and 60-38, respectively. Colin Hess and Austin Abram scored nine points apiece for Cadillac’s JV team. Carter Harsh led the freshman team with 15 points and Caden Windover scored 12.
The Vikings (3-2 overall, 2-1 BNC) have a week off before traveling to Alpena next Friday.
