Last year was a learning experience for the girls’ bowling team in their inaugural season. This year, they’re ready to compete. The Vikings finished in second place at the BNC tournament on Saturday – much improved from last year’s fifth place finish.
Cadillac started match play seeded second. They rolled past TC Central in the first round and faced off with TC West in the finals. The Vikings beat the Titans by two pins in the first game but West won the second by 19 pins giving the Titans their fifth straight BNC victory.
Kaitlyn Vermilyea took second overall to earn first team All-Conference honors. Eddie Kelsey was eighth and Priscilla Williams was tenth, both earned second-team honors.
The team will start Great Northwest Bowling Conference play on Saturday at Lucky Jack’s in Traverse City.
