The three hour bus ride didn’t seem to affect the Cadillac volleyball team as they swept Alpena in three games on Wednesday. The win keeps the Vikings tied for first place in the Big North Conference with Petoskey.
Cadillac won the first game 25-10. The Wildcats made things interesting the next two sets but Cadillac was able to push through to get the wins, 25-23, 26-24.
Brooke Kochanny paced the Vikings with 12 kills, five blocks, five digs, and an ace. Renee Brines recorded 18 assists, 10 digs, six kills, and a block while Maggie Neiss added five kills, four blocks, and an ace.
Cadillac JV fell to Alpena 25-20, 25-22, 25-23. Molly McKeever and Olivia Kapuscinski led the team in serves.
Alpena also won the freshman match 25-23, 25-20, 13-25. Caliey Masserang led in kills while Gracie Tweedale led in assists and serves.
Cadillac hosts TC Central for their final regular season home game. It is also their annual Dig Pink game where they raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness.
