Boys 7th Grade Football, Boys 8th Grade Football · Jr High Football Takes on TC West

By the end of the night, the players were soaked and covered in mud, but that didn’t stop the Cadillac 8th grade football from beating Traverse City West 26-0 Wednesday night.

Offensively, the Vikings were led by Kaleb McKinley with 68 yards and a touchdown.  McKinley also threw a 53 yard touchdown pass to Chris Reinhold.  Keenan Suminski added 27 yards and a touchdown.  Teegan Baker had 31 yards and a touchdown.  Felton Knight caught an 18 yard pass and scored on a 2 point conversion run.

On the defensive side, the Vikings were led by Derek Rood with 6 tackles and a fumble recovery.  Koby Denny added 5 tackles.  Mckinley, Baker, Ryan Sanders, and Riley Wade added 4 tackles each.  Rood had 2 sacks.  Jacob LaMonde and Kody Brown had interceptions for the Vikings.

The Cadillac 7th grade football team struggled offensively on Wednesday, falling to West 14-0.

Jordan Martin led the way on offensive with 33 yards on the ground.  Connor Vermuelen added 15 yards while Connor Gurden and Mitchell House added 10 yards each.

Defensively, the Vikings were led my Mitchell House with 11 tackles.  Collin Clous had 7 tackle and Charlie Howell added 6 tackles. Evan Hughes had 5 tackles while Justin Paszkowski and Gabe Cochrane both recorded four tackles and a fumble recovery.

Cadillac finishes their season next Wednesday at Kingsley. 7th grade will kick-off at 4:30 with 8th grade starting around 6:00.
