Girls Junior Varsity Soccer, Girls Varsity Soccer · First Time Outside, First Win of Season

The defending BNC champs and District champs haven’t had a practice outside this year, but still managed to score a shutout in their opening game.

The varsity girls soccer team picked up a 6-0 win over Ludington on Wednesday.

Kristen Goodrich got the first two goals of the season off assists from Sanna Meyjes and Mary Erickson, both before halftime. Emma Lloyd made it 3-0 with an assist from Hannah Emington before Emington added two goals herself. Meyjes rounded out the scoring with a goal of her own.

Mollie Mockler recorded the shutout in goal.

Cadillac JV also won, 1-0. Karly Maier scored the lone goal of the game off of an assist from Livi Meyer.

The varsity team travels to Holland this weekend for an invitational.
